Working with Lore

How distributed teams use stories to coordinate people and build knowledge.

Tree of my life Joseph Stella. 1919

Lore unlocks the potential of distributed teams, but putting it to work is difficult. This eight part series dives into how distributed teams use lore to establish an ongoing aesthetic and narrative framework that grounds the creation of group knowledge, enables effective decision-making, and improves the coordination of autonomous actors. Released on a bi-weekly basis, I begin with a general description of the opportunity space before exploring the specifics of how teams operationalize lore.
